Abstract : This novel encryption method, known as Honey Encryption (HE), is designed to circumvent the shortcomings of
the conventional password-based encryption (PBE) system. It enables the encryption of data with keys that have a low
minentropy while still providing resistance to brute-force attacks while doing so. When a ciphertext is generated by HE, it is
decrypted using an erroneous key, which results in the production of a plaintext that appears to be valid but is not. This
plaintext is known as a honey message. A review of the Honey Objects concept is presented in this work, with a particular
emphasis placed on the Honey Objects scheme. The present state of the art research in this area is investigated, and we take a
look at the practical applications that have been proposed or produced up to this point. Finally, we explore the limits that
higher education currently faces as well as prospective topics of interest for research in the future.
